An important international forum, following the principles of Belt and Road Initiative and the Suzhou Guidelines, was held from 8th to 12th June in Ningbo, China. The 2nd China – CEEC Investment and Trade Expo embraced forums, exhibitions, investment symposiums as well as cultural and tourism exchanges.
The China – CEE Tourism Coordination Centre applied for the prestigious 'Chinese Tourist Welcome Award 2016' and won silver in the category of ‘Overall performance'. The efforts of the Tourism Coordination Centre (TCC), taking major responsibility in coordinating tourism development of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries, were acknowledged by Hamburg-based leading independent China-research institute, China Outbound Travel Research Institute (COTRI)
The People's Republic of China was the Professional Guest of Honour of UTAZÁS Travel Exhibition 2016. UTAZÁS, with ever-stronger focus on long-haul markets, offered a great opportunity for the 16 Central and Eastern European cooperating countries to explain their touristic supply to Chinese professionals.
Sub-regional tourism route and product development workshops was launched by the Tourism Coordination Centre. The project beneficiaries may be businesses with interest in the further increase of incoming Chinese tourism.
‘Flights, routes, products' strategy presented at 2nd High-Level Meeting of China – CEECs Tourism Cooperation
Dr. Péter Faragó, Director to the Tourism Coordination Centre presented the marketing strategy of the TCC for 2016 at the 2nd HLM in Bled, Slovenia on 2nd September. The new strategy bears the slogan 'Flights, routes, products' and is targeting common tourism product and route development of the cooperating countries. The HLM evaluated the results of the common work until date.
